Objective: The factors such as hypotension and toxicity or high-dosevasopressors, massive release of inflammatory mediators, long warm ischemiatime will cause the function of donor’s organ. To improve the quality of donorkidney, a better way for kidney preservation needed to reduce ischemic injury.hypothermic machine perfusion have effective in improving kidneypreservation. However, the result of protection mechanisms and the rate ofcomplication recovery of renal function have different conclusions. This studycan explore the effective of using LifePort to save cardiac death organdonation(CDC) for restoring kidney function.Methods: From August2012to October2013, the clinical data of30cases ofDCD donor which meeting all conditions randomly divide into two groupsnamed as machine perfusion group and general group. Both groups preservationsolution are KPS-1.After transplantation give the same of treatment programs.After surgery,patients distribute to the same transplant physicican of ICU formanaing. To compare renal biopsy pathology for scatter pieces and the incidenceof postoperative renal delayed graft function (DGF)、acute rejection (AR)、recovery of renal function and the survive rate of perioperative recipient andorgan in two group of recipients.Result The incidence of DGF was20%(6/30) in the recipients given LifePort,and46.7%(14/30) in general group, and the statistical difference is significant(P<0.05). While there is no statistical difference between two groups in AR andother complications (P>0.05). The recovery of serum creatinine in recipientsgiven LifePort was better than general group with shorter averagehospitalization time, and the statistical difference is significant (P<0.05).there is no difference changes between the two groups in kidney biopsy throughmorphology, But LifePort group was better than those general group with edema,denaturation, necrosis in kidney biopsy.Conclusion LifePort can effectively improve the preservation of kidney from DCD and can reduce the edema, denaturation, necrosis of kidney biopsy,theincidence of DGF in recipients, which will benefit to graft function recovery, theaverage length of stay, the quality of preservation donor kidney.
