Clinical Research On Treating Psoriasis Vulgaris With Lung-clearing And Blood-cooling Xiaoyin Decotion

Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of Lung-clearing and Blood-coolingXiaoyin Decoction on treating active psorasis vulgaris, which belongs to wind heatand dry blood pattern in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), and to explore themechanism of action of Lung-clearing and Blood-cooling Xiaoyin Decoction ontreating ordinary psoriasis vulgaris, in order to clear the curative effect basis.Metheods: We selected patients with psoriasis vulgaris according to inclusion criteriaof western medicine, and72cases of patients with white mange which belong towind heat and dry blood pattern, through the diagnosis of TCM. We divided these72cases into two groups at random according to the different treatment applied.30casesin the cure group, treated by Lung-clearing and Blood-cooling Xiaoyin Decotion.30cases in the control group, treated with compound Qing Dai capsule. To observe andrecord the treatment effect by comparing PASI scores two courses later(one month fora course), the changes of pruritus severity score,and recurrence rate and incidence ofadverse reactions.Results: After2courses of treatment, PASI score and pruritus severity score of twogroups were improved (P <0.05), the improvement of PASI score and pruritus severityscore of treatment group are better than these of the control group (P <0.05). Therecurrence rate of treatment group was16.66%, while the recurrence rate of controlgroup20.83%, which indicates that the recurrence rate had statistically significant,tested by x2(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions of two patients groups were11.76%and9.09%respectively, which had statistically significant tested by x2(P=0.008<0.05). The total efficiency of treatment group was88.2%, while the total efficiency of control group was72.7%; the curative effect of two groups was testedand compared by x2, showing that the difference had no statistically significant (P>0.05); through the analysis and comparison (P <0.05) of Raddit, the curative effect oftreatment group was excellent than that of the control group.Conclusion: Lung-clearing and Blood-cooling Xiaoyin Decoction is much better thancompound Qing Dai capsule in curative effect for treatment of psorasis vulgaris,which belongs to wind heat and dry blood pattern in Traditional Chinese Medicine.Lung-clearing and Blood-cooling Xiaoyin Decoction can open the stasis meridians,reconcile the viscera function, and keep blood runs properly, which may be one ofmechanisms of treatment of psoriasis.
