Association Between Serum Uric Acid Level And Carotid Atherosclerotic Plaques In Acute Cerebral Infarction Patients

Objective：To investigate the relationship between serum uric acid(SUA)level and carotid atherosclerotic(CAS) plaque in acute cerebralinfarction (ACI) patients.Methods：The422hospitalization ACI patients were divided into ACIwithout CAS group (n=73) and ACI with CAS(n=349) group according toCAS criteria，the SUA level were compered between the two groups；Thepatients were divided into ACI without CAS group (n=73)、ACI withIntima-media thickness(IMT) group(n=38) and ACI with CAS plaquegroup(n=311) according to CAS and CAS plaque criteria，the SUA level werecompered among the three groups；The patients were divided into ACI withoutCAS plaque group (n=311) and ACI with CAS plaque group(n=111) accordingto CAS plaque criteria，SUA were compered between the two groups；Thepatients were divided into ACI without High uric acid hematic disease(HUA)group (n=369) and ACI with HUA group(n=53) according to HUA criteria，the incidence of CAS plaque were compered between the two groups；Further，the patients were classified into four quartile groups according to SUAlevel，the incidence of CAS plaque were compered among the four groups；The patients were divided into ACI without CAS plaque group (n=111)、ACI with stable CAS plaque group (n=138) and ACI with unstable CASplaque(n=172) group according to wether with CAS plaque and the stabilityof CAS plaque，the SUA level were compered among the three groups；Thepatients were divided into four groups according to the degree of CASplaque，the SUA level were compered among the four groups.Results:The SUA level is greater in ACI with CAS group than that in ACIwithout CAS group (P=0.01); No difference of the SUA level wasfound among the ACI without CAS group、ACI with IMT and ACI with CAS plaque group (P=0.074); While the instance of hypertensive disease、age、lipoprotein-a(LP(a)) and glycosylated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) weregreater in ACI with CAS plaque group than that in ACI without CASplaque group，while the sexuality、smoking、drinking、SUA、fastingblood-glucose(FBG)、TC、TG、HDL、LDL、apolipoprotein A1(APO-A1)、apolipoprotein B(APO-B)、free fatty acid(FFA)、cystatin C(CYSC)、HCY、Fib、DDI were found no difference between the ACI with CAS plaque groupand the ACI without CAS plaque group（P>0.05）；The incidence of CASplaque between the ACI with HUA group and ACI without HUA groupwas found no difference(83.0%vs72.4%;P=0.099）；And the result is sameamong the four quartile groups(73.3%,72.6%,69.8%,79.0%;P=0.485);Boththe ACI without CAS plaque group with the unstable CAS plaque groupand the stable CAS plaque group with the unstable CAS plaque group，the difference of the SUA level were found(P=0.004and P=0.002)，whilethe difference between the without CAS plaque group and the stable CASplaque group was not found(P=0.989）.The difference of the SUA levelof the ACI without CAS plaque group with class2CAS plaque group, theclass1CAS plaque group with the class2CAS plaque group and the class1CAS plaque group with the class3CAS plaque group werefound(P<0.0.05).Conclusion：The relationship between SUA level and CAS plaque in ACIpatients was not found; The SUA level of ACI patients with unstableCAS plaque group is greater than that in the ACI without CAS plaquegroup and the ACI with stable CAS plaque group.
