Objective To study the relationship between lipoprotein-associated phospholipaseA2(Lp-PLA2) and carotid plaque character in patients with essential hypertension, andmeanwhile to investigate whether the correlation with hs-CRPã€blood lipidsã€other factorsand Lp-PLA2level,and provide the corresponding reference value for clinical.Methods90cases(48male cases and42female cases) were collected to hospital inline with the enrolled patients in April2011to November2011.Their bilateral carotid arterieswere examined by Color Doppler ultrasound. According to the results of Color Dopplerultrasound were divided to four groups:21cases with normal carotid arteries;19cases withintima-media incrassation of carotid arteries;25cases with stable carotid plaque; and25caseswith unstable carotid plaque. Fasting serum specimens from patients were measured byELISA the concentration of Lp-PLA2, and simultaneous detection of hs-CRP and lipids.Andrecords related to the clinical data of age, gender, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI) andother related clinical data.Resultsâ‘ Unstable carotid plaque group of Lp-PLA2ã€hs-CRP concentrations werehigher than stable plaquesã€normal carotid artery intima-media thickening of the carotid arterygroup, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);â‘¡Stable carotid plaque groupof Lp-PLA2ã€hs-CRP concentrations were higher than normal carotid artery intima-mediathickening of the carotid artery group, and and the difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05);③Spearman rank analysis method showed that the serum concentrations of Lp-PLA2andhs-CRPã€WBC inflammatory indicators were correlated (r=0.801, P<0.01);The serum concentrations of Lp-PLA2withBlood pressure no significant positive correlation (P>0.05);The serum concentrations of Lp-PLA2with TC, TG, LDL no significant positivecorrelation (r=0.253ã€0.370ã€0.375ã€-0.870,P=0.085ã€0.076ã€0.069ã€0.413);④Non-conditionalLogistic regression analysis showed: Lp-PLA2is one of the risk factors in determining plaquestability, that the OR value for plaque associated with increasing Lp-PLA2:density was11.025(95%CI=1.573~46.895,P<0.01)。Conclusion1.Lp-PLA2may be involved in the process of carotid atherosclerosis,promotion of carotid artery plaque formationï¼›2.the serum level of Lp-PLA2can reflect thecharacter of carotid atherosclerotic plaque, it can be used to determine plaque instability asone of indirect indicators. |
