In this paper, greening tree species, basis and method of species selection, tree configuration and maintenance methods in alkali-saline land are summarized from the Angle of biological improvement. As application this paper selected the Luyang saline area as the research object, the geography, natural conditions and soil total salt and pH were analyzed, and different saline areas were divided, and made reasonable collocation of greening tree species and planting mode for the different saline areas, so as to provide theory and practice for alkali-saline land greeneing. Results were as follows:1) Halophytes has nice improved effect of saline-alkali land, local halophytes and landscaping plants often applied in the improvement of saline-alkali land; Improved plant need to select strong salt-tolerant ability, easy breeding, fast growth of plants, and Give priority to native plants also consideration of environmental factors; In different saline area choose different salt-tolerant plants, and carries on the scientific and reasonable collocation, transplanting and later maintenance.2) Soil salinization in Luyang area is serious. By investigated the soil salinity in the different regions, five different representative villages were chose. Salt content was shown as Jiangji>Chaoyi>Sibu>Dongbei>Xinzhuang; total alkalinity in Xinzhuang is highest, followed by ChaoYi, Dongbei and Xinzhuang, the lowest was Jiangji village; The change trend of soil pH and total alkalinity are basically identical.3) Depending on the degree of salinity, from the perspective of soil improvement, and beautify the village, five different villages were greenned. Road greening in Xinzhuang adopts Tarmarix chinensis L., Ribes odoratum Wendl., Malus zumi, Taxillus caloreas, Hemerocallis fulva, etc, with Linear, coupled and isolated planting; Road greening surrounding the village adopts Sophora davidii(Franch.) Skeels, Pyracantha fortuneana(Maxim.) Li, C.xclandonensis ‘Worcester Gold’, Helianthus tuberosus L., and so on, with Hedge,Linear and bunch planting; Abandoned area outside the village adopts Lycium chinense Mill., Elaeagnus angustifolia L., Caragana korshinskii Kom., Hemerocallis fulva, Sedun spectabile Boreau., Arundo donax L., etc., using bunch and group planting. Road greening in Chaoyi and Sibu adopt Amorpha fruticose Linn., Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn., Sophora japonica L.pendula, Malus spectabilis(Ait.) Borkh., Prunus cerasifera Ehrh.‘Pissardii’, Syzygium oblate Lindl, etc, with Linear and coupled planting; Road greening surrounding the village adopts Robinia pseudoacacia L., Ligustrum obtusifolium sieb. Et Zucc., Malus spectabilis(Ait.) Borkh., Acer negundo L., Ficus carica L., and so on, with Hedge, isolated and bunch planting; Abandoned area outside the village adopts Ligustrum obtusifolium sieb. Et Zucc., Salix cheilophila, Rosa rugosa Thunb., Forsythia suspense(Thunb.) Vahl, Althaea rosea Cavan., Sedum lineare Thunb., etc., using bunch, group and forest planting. Road greening in Dongbei and Jiangji adopt Salix babylonica L., Ligustrum quihoui Carr., Fraxinus chinensis Roxb., Albizia julibrissin Durazz., Punica granatum L., Cercis chinensis Bunge, etc, with Linear, isolated and bunch planting; Road greening surrounding the village adopts Robinia pseudoacacia L., Platycladus orientalis(L.) Franco, Sabina chinensis(L.) Ant., Wisteria sinensis(Sims) Sweet, and so on, with Hedge, Linear and coupled planting; Abandoned area outside the village adopts Lonicera japonica Thunb., Wisteria sinensis(Sims) Sweet, Platycladus orientalis(L.) Franco, Ligustrum quihoui Carr., etc., using bunch, and forest planting.
