Bovine viral diarrhea virus(BVDV) is one of the Flavivir idae, Pestivirus. It can cause bovine viral diarrhea /mucosal disease—a worldwide distribution of the disease, and brought great harm to the global livestock husbandry. With the rapid development of livestock husbandry, the danger has become increasingly severe, and the disease is not yet effective prevention and control measures. Therefore, understanding and get the epidemiological investigation data of bovine viral diarrhea, provide adequate theoretical basis and on the basis of prevention is very important for disease prevention and control.This study used serological and molecular biological methods to test serum, blood and stool samples collected from 16 different regions in part area of Xinjiang, and to detect pathogenic isolation and identification of the positive samples. By the study of the serological detection of 1171 samples, the antibody positive rate is 81.9%; and antigen positive rate for 1.5%. 566 samples were detected by RT-PCR, there were 21 BVDV positive strains. Use biology sequence homology comparison analysis, the result of the sequencing to draw its evolutionary tree, and draw out the parts of BVDV pathogenic ecology choropleth Map of Xinjiang, including 17 strains of BVDV I type, 4 strains of BVDV II type. Cell culture isolation of viruses, further identif ication of the virus by direct immunofluorescence detection and RT-PCR, determinated the TCID50 and neutralization titer, and analyse the physico-chemical properties and biological characteristics of the virus of isolated strains. The results found that there were 21 positive strains detected, and seven strains were CPE, 14 strains were NCPE. The TCID50 Measured is 1.04×103~6.02×108 TCID50/0.1mL, 21 strains isolated viruses neutralization titer is for 1:21~1:25. The isolated virus is very sensitive to temperature, diethyl ether, chloroform, and pancreatic enzymes. By detected the samples in Xinjiang, there are BVDV type 1b, I unknown subtypes and BVDV II type, etc. Research for the prevention and control of BVDV and provides the theoretical basis and reference for eradication.
