Xinjiang cotton production has played a decisive role in the development of the statusChinese cotton industry. Increasing the yield per unit area, increase output, is to increase thebenefit of cotton, the main way to ensure the steady development of cotton production. Thispaper starts with the drip irrigation cotton root characteristics, through directional breedinghigh yield cotton (lint3500kg·hm-2), spatio temporal change of high yield cotton dripirrigation, activity of root distribution under film, analysis of yield variation of rootmorphology and physiology of super high yield, summarize the root morphologicalcharacteristics of physiological indexes of cotton, and then determine the different yield levelroot morphological and physiological regulation index and technology, provides the theorybasis for the drip irrigation cotton high yield cultivation management measures. The mainresults are as follows:1.Cotton root morphology indexes including root length density, root surface area, rootvolume density index and root mass density with the growth process goes on a single peakcurve, and reached the peak at peak boll period, then gradually decreased; Root physiologicalindexes, including antioxidant protective enzyme activity, nitrate reductase activity, both fromthe squaring stage and then decreased, the content of MDA showed the opposite trend. Withthe increase of yield, root morphology, physiological index increased gradually, with full bollstage to boll opening stage increased greatly, and that through reasonable regulation measures, promote the growth of root system in late growth stage, the physiological function of cottonboll forming stage delay root, is conducive to the mining under Film Drip Irrigation Cottonyield potential.2.From the root system in the soil in the vertical distribution can be seen, along with theincrease of soil depth, root distribution, root gradually reduced, mainly concentrated in thesoil0~20cm; with the increase of yield, root distribution showed decreasing trend surface,deep.3.The chlorophyll content and antioxidant enzyme activities of3leaf with growthprogress goes on showed a single peak curve, the peak flowering stage, then decreased; withthe increase of yield, chlorophyll content and antioxidant enzyme activity, shoot biomass andyield constituent factor is gradually increasing, and the ratio of root to shoot it decreases withthe increase of yield. Super high yield in cotton production, increase root physiologicalactivity, promote root bundle could promote the shoot growth, root shoot ratio decreased, yield structure and form, and ultimately improve the yield.4.In the northern climatic ecological conditions of cotton super high yield practice, in theselection of early maturing cotton varieties, sowing irrigation well based on reserve, to timelysowing, timely replenishment, growth period, homogeneous drip irrigation increased the peakboll period fertilizer inputs, moderate delayed dripping time as management core cultivation, and promote the realization of the strong sprout, an increase in lower root distribution ratio, enhance the physiological activity of root system, root and leaf function period extended tocontrol target, adjustable cotton root growth in order to realize the regulation of cotton to change the direction of super high yield high efficiency.
