The essence of radio broadcast is to deliver information from voices to audiences by radio waves. As a mass media, radio broadcast plays an important part in information service, news propaganda, social communication, entertainment and enriching the cultural life for people.The secure broadcastof broadcasting programs is the key to exert the functions of broadcasting media. If programs are interrupted or off-air, it will have great negative impact on the society. In order to reinforce the administration of secure broadcast of radio and television, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television introduces a series of regulations of secure broadcast of radio and television, formulates the definition standard of major accidents of secure broadcast and puts forward strict requirements for secure broadcast.Broadcasting and TV station in Kunming is the only capital station in our province. It should make sure the safe and high-quality broadcasting of four broadcast frequency and six television channels in Kunming.At present, broadcasting and TV station in Kunming adoptsthe wireless launching broadcasting pattern that the sound signal carrying program contents is transmitted to the remote radio transmitting stations via microwave and optical fiberfrom the Production Center. This is launched by two launching stations backing up each other, located in the news center in Western Hills and Danxia Street. The FM broadcast system in news center adopts one way that people rearrange the main broadcast system manually.This means that when there is something wrong with the transmitter during the online broadcasting, it is not up for renewal until the man on duty discovers the problem, estimates it, goes to the scene, handles the problem, rearranges it and starts up.This kind of way may make the interrupted time of programs longer, which could not meet the demands of secure broadcast.This thesis aims at the problems of secure broadcast of related radio transmitting stations in Kunming radio and television and domestic industry. It synthetically applies computer networks, data communication, digital circuits, single chip and other technologies to research, design and develop a set of remote monitoring system of broadcast transmitter. This realizes the remote control of the transmitter switches and rearrangement of coaxial switches. This system also displays and monitors the working state of the transmitter and coaxial switches in real time via remote monitoring terminal software to make sure the safety of broadcasting. The thesis illustrates the process of analysis, design and implement of this system in detail. It mainly illustrates the functions of the system, the design of frame and the design of coax controller (including software and hardware) and software of monitoring terminal.The system has been put into use in Kunming radio and television. It works stably and reliably and better solves the problem that Kunming broadcasting and TV station adopting the way that people rearrange the main broadcast system back and forth enriches the off-air time, which eliminates the hidden danger of major accidents when programs are off-air.
