Problems And Countermeasures Of University Library 's Participation In Non - Heritage Protection

Intangible cultural heritage is the precious wealth of human civilization and the crystallization of human wisdom. It is the splendid culture that people created by their hands, which keeps nations’ most characteristic gene. Intangible cultural heritage can be called as a dynamic archive, embodying a nation’s civilization, cultural development level and ethic personality and aesthetic. It also acts as the password of a nation’s culture, being regarded as a “living fossil” of the human history and culture. In recent years, with the urgency of protecting the intangible cultural heritage, countries have upgraded the protection to a strategic height of the national culture development, including it as an important part in the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.In such a trend, the protection of intangible cultural heritage is inevitable becoming a trend. It is also the responsibility of college libraries to take part in protecting local intangible cultural heritage. At the same time, it’s helpful for the development of college libraries and the improvement of social value and cultural value. At the moment, the most feasible and effective way of protecting the intangible cultural heritage is digital processing, forming “intangible” digital resources and constructing “intangible” database.In this dissertation, it mainly concerns about college libraries’ participation in protecting the intangible cultural heritage, refining an effective way—digital protection. According to college libraries’ own situation, they can fuse their rich resources, talents, technical advantages with the intangible digital protection. There are seven chapters in total, chapter one is introduction, including contents review and literature survey method, analyzing the current situation of the digital protection of intangible cultural heritage, as well as introducing the research method and the innovation. Chapter two focuses on the concept of intangible cultural heritage and further demonstrates the feasibility and necessity of this selected topic, as well as providing a new angle of carrying on the protection. Chapter three analyzes the advantages and significance of college libraries’ participation in “intangible” digital protection, which provides theoretical support. Chapter four discusses the effective ways for college libraries’ participation in “intangible” digital protection and explicitly points out a possibility for afterwards practice. Chapter five indicates the problems for college libraries’ participation in “intangible” digital protection and provides the further guidance. Chapter six gives the strategies for college libraries to participate in the “intangible” digital protection, stating the proper strategies from six aspects. Chapter seven is a conclusion, at the same time, it points out the future and potential difficulties in carrying out the “intangible” digital protection.
