Study And Application About The Lean Palletizing Management In Shipyard

The mainstream of modern shipbuilding mode is still the assembly shipbuilding which by the intermediate product oriented. How to control the intermediate product’s manufacturing process and the degree of finished-product can affect the production’s efficiency and quality directly. It’s necessary to study further to understand how to build an lean palletize system to meet the requirements in section/block and the dock, then achieve the pallet-kanban management gradually. It’s also important content to study the Lean Thinking in application of the shipyard palletizing management.This paper combines the theory of lean shipbuilding to analyze the original management system, finding out the defect to optimize, then learn from the outfitting palletizing management mode, covering it into the hull pallet, painting pallet and tooling pallet by the principle. Meanwhile, build the pallet-kanban mode which combined the pallet and the kanban, realizing the application of JIT into the palletlize management gradually,then build the lean palletizing management system in the shipyard.This paper focuses on the section manufacturing stage in palletlize management, shows the flow about the hull construction palletize based on the DAP and the processes about section outfitting, painting palletize and tooling palletize based on the WSD during the typical section product manufacturing, then build a palletizing system in the section production manufacture. And it also gives the operational thinking for lean palletize application in block based on the FSD/WSD, and the running management ideas in lean palletizing management in dock, which providing valuable reference for enterprises to shorten shipbuilding cycle and reduce shipbuilding costs.This paper is mainly discuss how to learn from the palletize achievements in the field of outfitting, and introducing it into hull construction, painting and tooling areas in order to achieve the comprehensive coverage in the pallet integration, through the full range palletizing management to achieve the requirements. Exploring how to combine the kanban management with palletizing management, and fully implement the pull mode of production. To realize the lean production requirements for JIT in palletize during the section stage, the block stage and the dock stage, then to establish an pallet-kanban management mode.
