Because of traditional fault-tolerant permanent magnet motor (FTPM) has high reliability, simple structure, high power factor, fault-tolerant, starting torque characteristics, it is widely used in locomotives, extrusion unit, aerospace, marine transportation and nuclear power plant water circulation areas.The breadth of motor application field and performance advantages prompt many scholars continue to deeply study fault-tolerant permanent magnet motor control system. In these application areas, several motors are used as driver to provide power for the system and to ensure motor actuation system capable of providing sufficient power. Although the drive system has smaller torque ripple and high reliability, driving several motors not only greatly reduces space utilization of control system, but also increase the cost of the motor system due to the increased number of motors significantly. Dual-winding fault-tolerant permanent magnet motor (DFTPMM) is used as research subject and its working principle is detailed analyzed to propose new high-performance and high-reliability solution of the motor control system. This solution can greatly improve space utilization of system, reduce motor amounts.The advantages and disadvantages of single permanent magnet motor and dual redundant fault-tolerant motor control system are analyzed, advanced motor control solution is analyzed such as direct torque control, vector control. A new motor fault tolerant control program is proposed for achieving open-circuit fault and short-circuit fault tolerance. Each phase winding of the motor is individually controlled by the current hysteresis vector control, each phase winding current is reassigned by the given output of fault conditioning unit, to ensure DFTPMM normal and smooth operation when open-circuit and short-circuit fault.At last, TMS320F28335 is used as controller, appropriate motor drive circuit, isolation and test circuits are designed, the program is actually tested and verified, correctness of the theory is proved.
