The assembly precision measurement technology is a powerful tool to ensure the overall assembly precision of spacecraft, and assembly precision measurement is an important part of the whole assembly of spacecraft. Theodolite system is often used as one traditional assembly precision measurement in satellites and other spacecraft, but it has the disadvantages such as low efficiency, difficulty in processing a cube and so on. The laser tracker as a large scale 3D measurement instruments has great advantages in accuracy, efficiency, dynamic measurement.Therefore, this article presents a method that measure a certain type of product assembly precision based on the laser tracker. The following is specific contents :This article research on the relationship between the size of geometric elements and the position precision of laser tracker. The experiments proved that when the workpiece surface geometry size at least 60 mm×60 mm, the measurement precision of laser tracker is better than 3 " and the uncertainty within the 5".And then the position precision of laser tracker tends to be stable.This article puts forward a overall scheme about measuring assembly precision of a certain type of product based on laser tracker according to the accuracy requirements and the actual situation in the fields.Solve the key technologies such as coordinate transformation, coordinates fusion, design of measuring accessories processing and so on.Completed a certain type of product assembly precision measurement by using laser tracker without the cube mirror.This article implement the overall scheme and measure assembly precision of the four components of the product.Measurement plans of sub module were edited,run and tested on the scene.Measurement plans can get measurement results quickly like press a button and output the report of PDF format.Evaluate the data uncertainty of components assembly precision according to the standard uncertainty evaluation method.Experimental results show that the measuring assembly accuracy by laser tracker can not only meets the requirement of accuracy,but also improve the efficiency greatly.
