"Metal Storm" Weapon System is a weapon system which is fired synchronously orasynchronously with multi-barrel series-parallel ammunition. When the multi-barrel islaunched, complex multi-barrel muzzle flow field will be formed in front of the muzzle. Theflow field will cause asymmetric disturbance for projectiles emitted by each barrel, thusaffecting the firing accuracy of weapon systems.In this paper, the formation, development and decay process of muzzle’s shock waveunder Metal Storm’s different launching mode are analyzed and calculated modelingly, usingtwo-dimensional directional jet and dynamic mesh related methods. In this way, differentmuzzle flow field effects of shock wave on the projectile velocity and lateral disturbance arefound out. Corresponding pressure distribution rule is calculated with Matlab software by the30mm caliber "metal storm weapon system" in ballistic equation. Based on the finite volumemethod, two-dimensional model is established for series launch mode, and calculate it usingthe FLUENT software, obtaining the corresponding data, analyzing the influence onprojectile muzzle velocity. By using the finite volume method, double and three tubes of atwo-dimensional model are established based on the parallel transmission mode, and calculateit with FLUENT software, obtaining the corresponding data, analyzing the impact on theprojectile axial and radial force; using GAMBIT to establish the three-dimensional model,calculate it by FLUENT software, getting the number of pressure cloud and Maher at differenttimes, analyzing the influence of the muzzle flow field of projectile motion.
