It is a long time since lots of motor manufacturers have been puzzled by the motor vibration. Due to lacking of feasible monitoring and diagnosis method, the problem often can’t be completely solved if it occurs. However, monitoring the running state of motors and timely detecting the faults could improve the efficiency of production equipments and ensure smooth production.In order to solve this problem, the virtual instrument technology is applied to motor vibration problem, and the motor vibration monitoring system based on virtual instruments is established. Taking full advantage of computer technology, the system could analyze the motor vibration signal even deeper than the traditional analyzing equipments in the case of spending less and achieve automatic diagnosis of motor fault. The main work in this paper is as follows:First of all, according to the function requirement of the motor vibration monitoring system, the motor vibration signal acquisition system is firstly structured. According to the work principle of the acceleration sensor, the model of the sensor and virtual instrument data-acquisition card is selected based on the characteristic of the vibration signal acquisition, the hardware design of vibration data acquisition is completed. Then, the vibration signal acquisition, data storage and data query programs are designed, which provide necessary condition for the on-line and off-line analysis of the vibration signal.Secondly, according to the non-stationary characteristic of the motor vibration signal and the multi-resolution analysis result of vibration data, a signal denosing algorithm based on the undecimated wavelet transform is proposed, it can get well denoising effect with the reasonable parameter choice. And using the characteristic of the continuous wavelet transform only keeping the signal amplitude information, the wavelet-based signal detection mutation algorithm is studied, further a mutation detection method of the vibration signal based on the continuous wavelet transform is proposed with the effective implementation to the vibration signal mutation detection.Again, according to signal characteristics of the rotor imbalance fault and electromagnetic vibration fault generated by the abnormal stator, a motor vibration fault diagnosis method based on the analysis of the power spectral density cross-correlation is proposed by studying the spectral analysis theory and the correlation analysis theory, and implements the automatic motor vibration fault diagnosis effectively. Finally, the individual module design of the motor vibration monitoring system based on LabVIEW is completed, and the test of the entire system is performed.The structure of motor vibration monitoring system based on virtual instrument is discussed, and the design of the whole system by studying the vibration signal wavelet analysis algorithm based on LabVIEW and motor fault diagnosis methods is completed.
