Currently, China is in a stage of rapid development, energy development and utilization is also in a high growth phase, efficient utilization and saving energy has become a urgent problem in contemporary Chinese. With the adjustment of economic structure and transformation of development mode in our country, the electric power system reform is to carry out bidding to the net step by step.This requires power companies to reduce the energy consumption and the cost of power generation, increase the equipment input of desulfurization and dust,which can strictly reduce pollution emissions.However, in order to improve the competitiveness of tariff, energy saving in factory’s electricity has quick result, adapt to the demand of environment and energy, play a significant role. As the large consumer in energy, energy saving and emission reduction of high voltage motor play a significant role in thermal power unit. With the development of high voltage variable frequency speed regulation, fan, water pump and other electric equipments are also starting to use the frequency conversion speed regulation. Practice has proved that the variable frequency speed control can effectively solve the problems of energy saving of high voltage motor.Xinjiang Alar Shengyuan power plant, is a supercritical air cooling unit of two sets of350MW. Deaerator use high pressure condensate pump to water in the turbine side.The thesis takes the variable frequency speed regulation system’s design of high pressure condensate pump as the research background, in350MW thermal power unit. Through the analysis of system energy saving’s principle and high voltage frequency converter, the thesis gives the variable frequency speed regulation system’s design scheme, as well as, verifies the implementation in Alar Shengyuan power plant. As follows:At first, it analysis the frequency conversion velocity modulation way of high voltage motor, the principle of frequency conversion and energy saving in high pressure condensate pump. According to the working principle of condensate pump, pump’s flow and head has a relationship with the motor speed. When the unit’s load is reduced, condensate pump’s flow decreased. If the motor’s speed down by frequency conversion adjustment, it can effectively reduce the energy consumption, saving energy.Secondly, the thesis takes the operation of the variable frequency speed regulation in condensate pump as background, makes selective comparison between overall structure and main components, obtains the actual applied selection. Beijing hiconics inverter, which is selected, the main structure, frequency characteristics and control operation mode are detailedly introduced.Thirdly, according to the technology control requirements of alar’s condensate pump,the thesis designs a set of implemented program that contains frequency conversion system’s basic control and logic program, power supply system’s redundant features. That is, when a failure is occurred, frequency converter can automatically switch frequency conversion power supply into power frequency, which is a guarantee to the normal operation. Then, performance test is conducted, to meet the need of technology control requirement. In the next place, the operational approach of inverter cabinet is briefly introduced.In summary, in order to meet the two aspects of technology need and energy saving and emission reduction, frequency conversion and energy saving be the first to bear the brunt. After more than a year of Alar Shengyuan power’s operation, high voltage frequency conversion system of condensate pump plays a remarkable role in energy saving. This system reduces the economic cost and subsequent maintenance costs, obviously improves the pump’s vibration and noise, advances the pump’s efficiency and automation level,which is welcomed by users.
