According to the theory of electromagnetic motor, the principle of induction motor’s speed changed by frequency transformation is introduced briefly in this paper. It analyses current application of high-voltage frequency converter in Domestic market, and puts the key on the analysis of popular multi-level voltage converter. Taking Hitachi high-voltage converter for example, this paper represents specific implementation method and basic control theory.Based on current operation conditions of condensate pump by valve control mode, the feasibility of frequency transformation project is proven by theoretical analysis computation. It fully details specific realization mode and program of No.4unit condensate pump frequency transformation. A special test is executed to evaluate the effects brought by frequency transformation. The test results show that frequency transformation brings huge economic returns and social benefits. Except for these effects, operation condition of condensate pump has been improved significantly, for example noise and vibration.So, for Ninghai Power Plant, frequency transformation for No.4unit condensate pump is successful.
