In2011, Japan Fukushima serious nuclear accidents caused by3·11earthquakebring profound influence to nuclear power development all over the world. In February2011, the current code for seismic design of nuclear power plants GB60267-97wasrevised, and formed the submitted version in November2012.In this paper, the different versions of code for the nuclear power plant at homeand abroad are carried on the comparative study. Firstly, the paper compares the codefor seismic design of nuclear power plants GB50267-97with2012submitted version;Secondly, the paper selects the three countries—China, the United States, France—of code for seismic design of nuclear power plants, and studies the comparative; At last,the paper studies the seismic design of the PCS water tank on the shielding workshopcontainment of some nuclear power plant, and illustrates the design requirements ofthe current code. In this paper, the comparative study of different specification purposeis to find the commonness and difference, and these differences combined with aseismic design of nuclear power in China.Through the research, it can provide feasiblesuggestion to our revision code for seismic design of nuclear power plants.The paper mainly finishes the following work:(1) In the paper, a comprehensive comparison is made on the code for seismicdesign of nuclear power plants GB50267-97with2012submitted revision. Thecomparison of the two versions of codes can be divided into seven aspects: theapplication scope of the code, the goals of the code for seismic design, seismicclassifications of items and fortification level, the concept of nuclear power plantdesign, the earthquake design calculation model, seismic calculation method, seismicdesign response spectrum. The study is try to find the differences between the twoversions of codes.2012submitted revision both absorbs the advanced theory andpractice of seismic design in recent years, and continues the design idea of the originalspecification, combined with the reality of our country.(2) In the paper, it compares the code for seismic design of nuclear power plants,including China, the United Statesand French. The three codes have differentcharacteristics combining the situation of its own nuclear power technology, but alsohas generality in accordance with current international criteria of nuclear powerstandard design.(3) The seismic design of the PCS water tank on the shielding workshopcontainment of some nuclear power plant is studied preliminarily. during the research,the coupled Euler Lagrange technique was used to numerical simulation for FSI of the PCS water tank, and studied the effect of the seismic performance of the shieldingworkshop containment. At last, it is compared the specification requirements about theseismic design of nuclear power plant for the liquid storage container.
