Anhui Province as one of the main mineral resource-based areas of China, by the over-exploitation of mineral resources, the mining land ecosystem services are deteriorating, forming a broad-based abandoned mine lands. Therefore it has important practical significance of abandoned mine land reclamation. At present, people usually use land suitability evaluation method to evaluate mining land quality and make reasonable choice of land reclamation. However, this method can not be quantitatively compared the ecological value of the land suitable. Based on the theory of land suitability evaluation we adopted the ecosystem service function of land reclamation of mining areas and established a multi-scenario simulation method of abandoned mine land reclamation. We created four scenarios:(1) no-reclamation, (2) arable land reclamation as the main method, (3) forest land reclamation as the main method, and (4) both of the methods. Taking abandoned mine land reclamation of Anhui, we measured the ecosystem services value of the four scenarios. The results show that the net values of ecosystem services of the four scenarios were 2.76 billion CNY,3.72 billion CNY,3.75 billion CNY, and 4.16 billion CNY (scenario 1 to 4 respectively). This indicated that the net value of ecosystem services was different between the four scenarios, compared to the ecosystem services of no-reclamation; they all resulted in higher ecological values after reclamation, of which forest (scenario 3) benefited the most. The net benefit of the land ecosystem service function value was positive after reclamation, reflecting that the ecological value was higher than the cost of land reclamation. The mining ecological environment in the study area is degenerated and may become worse unless the efficient management of mining and effective reclamation in mining areas are carried out instantly.
