Octadecylamine in salt lake brine was determinated by spectrophotometry.Octadecylamine in the sample is extracted, and then the chloroform- Octadecylamine system was colored by adding chloroform solution of bromocresol green color. The absorbance was measured under the specific wavelength after coloration, which can get the concentration of Octadecylamine. The experimental results showed that the Octadecylamine could be colored in the chloroform with bromocresol green. The maximum absorption wavelength was 421.5 nm and Lambert–Beer law was obeyed in the range of 0-4 μg/mL. The linear correlation R2 = 0.9985 and the recovery was101.8%, RSD = 1.4715%.This article expanded the method by using cyclohexane to replace chloroform in organic phase, which could measure the concentration of Octadecylamine contained in cyclohexane. The experimental results showed that the Octadecylamine could also be colored in the cyclohexane with bromocresol green. The maximum absorption wavelength was 416.5 nm and Lambert–Beer law was obeyed in the range of 0-5μg/mL. The linear correlation R2= 0.9996 and the recovery was 98.28%, RSD =3.87%. This method was of high sensitivity and good reproducibility, which could provide a simple operation, convenient new method for measuring the concentration of Octadecylamine in the follow-up experiments. This paper used solvent flotation to seperate Octadecylamine from the salt lake brine on the basis of the flotation Octadecylamine from the aqueous solution. When using cyclohexane as flotation solvent to seperate Octadecylamine solution, the results showed that the best conditions were as follows, initial concentration was 10μg/mL, pH = 10, flotation time was 40 min and air flow rate was 64 mL/min. Under this condition, the recovery rate of Octadecylamine could reach 80.12%. When using cyclohexane as flotation solvent to separate Octadecylamine from the salt lake brine, the results showed that the best conditions were as follows, pH = 6, flotation time was50 min and air flow rate was 64 mL/min. Under this condition, the recovery rate ofOctadecylamine could reach 84.03%。The attapulgite were used to adsorb octadecylamine in water. On the basis of material characterization, the influence of the adsorbent, initial concentration, adsorption time and pH of solution were studied. The results showed that, the attapulgite can be used to adsorb octadecylamine in water, and the adsorption rate increased when the adsorbent dosage and time increased, the adsorption was reached equilibrium when the adsorption time was 2.5h, when the value of pH range from 8 to10, there are the best adsorption effect. In this article, Magnetic halloysite adsorption material was prepared by compounding Fe3O4 with halloysite, and was Characterized it. Octadecylamine in water was absorbed by Fe3O4 composite magnetic halloysite. Those factors such as initial concentration, adsorption time and pH were investigated to identify the influence of Octadecylamine adsorption. The results showed that the adsorption quantity increased with the increasing of adsorbent dosage and time, the adsorption was reached equilibrium when the adsorption time was 3h and it could reach the best adsorption effect at pH = 10.Dielectric barrier discharge plasma technology was used to cope with low concentration of Octadecylamine wastewater. The results showed that the best degradation conditions were as follows, initial concentration was 6 μg/mL, discharge power was 160 W, initial pH = 10, aeration flow was 100 ml/min and discharge time was 60 min. Under this condition, the removal rate of Octadecylamine could reach90%.
