Research On Region Differences Of Foreign Trade In Xinjiang

Since the reform and opening up, Xinjiang’s foreign trade has made considerableprogress, but with the enhance of the overall level of foreign trade in Xinjiang, theregional foreign trade development presents a non-equilibrium state, and thisdifference is becoming increasingly significant. Due to the Xinjiang is located inChina’s northwest border, the strategic position is very important, together with theparticularity of its natural environment, ethnic composition, religious cultural and soon, Xinjiang regional foreign trade difference is not only a major economic issue, butalso the major political and social problems which have relation to the China’s borderareas stability and development, national unity and progress. Thus, depth andsystematic study foreign trade differences condition of the Xinjiang region and itsinfluencing factors, providing inspiration and reference for the development of theoverall level of Xinjiang foreign trade, is related to the economic development andsocial harmony of Xinjiang and the major strategic issues of national security, withspecial economic, social and political significance.First, this study descriptive statistics the general situation of the Xinjiang foreigntrade development and the differences in the development of foreign trade in15prefectures, in order to clear the development status in Xinjiang regions; Second,using a variety of quantitative analysis indicators further empirical research on thedifferences between foreign trade in the Xinjiang regions, measuring the evolutionprocess of differences from the perspective of overall and regional decomposition aswell as differences risk; once again, combined with the actual situation in Xinjiang,there is a comprehensive analysis of the reasons for the formation of the regionaldifferences of Xinjiang’s foreign trade,and By constructing a panel data model tomake the qualitative analysis and measurement test for the influence factors ofxinjiang regional foreign trade, in order to clear the impact of various factors on theXinjiang regional foreign trade differences; Finally, this paper puts forward relevantpolicy Suggestions on the basis of the above study.This paper view studies draw the following conclusions:Firstly, the momentumof Xinjiang foreign trade in general is good, and the differences of the development offoreign trade between15Prefectures in the absolute amount of import and export,dependence on foreign trade and foreign trade on the leading role of the regionaleconomic; Secondly, foreign trade overall absolute difference between the15prefectures and cities is rising in fluctuation, the relative difference is falling volatility,and this difference is mainly due to the difference between the three major regions, the impact of the difference between the internal around the state in Northern is greattoo, and also the studies have found that the regional foreign trade differences incharacteristics of polarization,but the high risk which leading by this difference haveeased in recent years, the overall foreign trade growth of convergence; Thirdly, thereare great impact in the formation of Xinjiang regional foreign trade differences inGeographical, cultural and ethnic, tilt policy, economic development, income level,comparative advantage industry, foreign direct investment, and human capital. indifferent areas, there are different forms of influence and the degree of influence.
