Evaluation Of The Developmental Level Of Agricultural Industrialization In Henan Province

Henan is the major agricultural main producing areas in China and the output of grain, cotton, oil, meat and other major agricultural products ranks first. On the other hand, some factors such as the low agricultural production intensification level and the imperfect public agricultural service system restricts the ability to further enhance the agricultural industrialization level and production capacity in Henan Province.Therefore, the author had a comprehensive analysis and evaluation on the development level of agricultural industrialization of the Henan Province.Analyzed and summarized the existing domestic and international researches on agricultural industrialization and its developmental level evaluation. Based on above, from the view of the economic development, agricultural mechanization, agricultural industrial system, the development of agricultural science and technology, the development of leading agricultural enterprises and agricultural market liquidity conditions of18different cities in Henan Province, the author analyzed of the level of development of agricultural industrialization as well as problems in Henan Province. Built an agricultural industrialization level evaluation system and selected the applicable evaluation method. Based on the related indicators, analyzed the developmental level of agricultural industrialization of18cities in Henan from2001to2011by using the established evaluation index system and principal component analysis. The results showed that:the level of agricultural mechanization, the development of leading agricultural enterprises, agricultural production efficiency, etc. are important factors to the level of development of agricultural industrialization.According to the research conclusion, pointed out the countermeasures to further improve the developmental level of agricultural industrialization in Henan Province as follows:improving the level of mechanization, making more efforts to support agricultural leading enterprises, promoting scientific and technological progress and building modern agricultural management system.
