Multi-source Intelligent Perception Dynamic Reservation Management System Of Flex-Route Transit Service

Flex-Route transit is a new type of public transit service, which integrate the economy characteristics of the fixed-route transit service and the flexibility of demand-responsive transit service. The concept of flex-route transit service was put in the1970s, while its rapid development appeared in the1990s. Until now, this new public transit service has been widely used by many European and American cities. But there is no such type of public transit service in China, and related research is also very less. With the rapid development of communications technology, GPS, GIS in china, and the needs for public transportation made by the urbanization and aging social, it’s time to develop the new public transit system in China.On the basis of related research theory at home and abroad, this paper expounds on the operation of flex-route transit service, and at last develop a flex-route transit service reservation system.First of all, this paper summarizes the development and classification of flex-route transit service. We analyze the application effect of this system in some cities, and demonstrate the significance and necessity of developing this system. There is also a brief introduction to multi-source signal technology. Combined this technology, put forward a feasible flex-route transit system.Second, we chose route deviation transit service, which is one type of flex-route transit service, as the research object to describe the passenger transferring optimization model. After that, an flex-route transit service reservation model is presented, which focus on the dynamic reservation for research.Finally, this paper established a multi-source intellgent dynamic management system for flex-route transit service, carrying out the concept of people oriented, so that people can use mobile phone platform, computer network, touch screen or button at bus station and other data sources to make a reservation. And operators can use the advanced technology such as GPS, GIS, to get information of passengers and vehicles, which is used for the dynamic management of the reservation.
