A Comparative Study Of Chinese And American Television Investigative News Program Hosts

The host is one of the roles of television media development indispensable.1996, China’s investigative news program "News Investigation" was founded, has won a high reputation in news programs, the number of outstanding investigative television news the host for the audience to accept and trust gradually. Today, when the Chinese television news media the rest of the world media gradually, they continue to challenge themselves in development, seeking new development opportunities. American media industry as one of the most developed countries in the world, the popular program hosts are concerned to the world. This paper attempts to a comparative study of Chinese and American television investigative news program hosts. This paper makes a comparative study of five parts:The first part reviews the research on the status quo of Chinese and Americans hosts this special group, identified the main issues to be studied in this article; Second part:the presenter, television news presenter, China and the U.S. television news show host characteristics, history and development context to sort out; The third part:the occupational characteristics of the two countries from the host’s age, gender, profession and degree, and other basic information, analysis host’s different styles, features interviews and columns loyalty; The fourth part is to analyze the differences of the two country’s hosts in different cultural backgrounds; The fifth part is repositioning China investigative news program hosts with international communication background.
