Accompanied with the Taiwan variety show "I’m the greatest woman”, which havereceived the majority of women’s enthusiasm, many television stations in the mainland havelaunched beauty shows. Not only the beauty program owned the female pursuit, a variety ofproducts recommended in the program have been in good selling. In view of this, this articlewill take the beauty show "love you love the beautiful" as the research object, it will analyzefrom the perspective of narratology, using its terms and principles to elaborate how the programattracted women.This article mainly analyze from the person narrative and patterns narrative, these twoblocks, to figure out how the program to realize its narrative purpose. First is the analysis of thenarrative in the program. What narrative characters are the host, guest and experts bear? Whatdid they say, why did you say in this way, how did they say; As a TV language narration, whatare the pictures and sound’s functions, how are they to service the program. Second is theanalysis of narrative mode in the program. Analysis which narrative mode used in the program,why use such narrative mode, how are those narrative modes to realize the narrative purposes.Finally, through the analysis of the narrative modes, we found different narrative purposeshiding behind the link. With compare and summarize, this paper will expose the narrativepurposes behind the program. It also will give comments of the concept of consumptionadvocated in the program. At last, it gave suggests to female beauties on how to face theconcept of consumption advocated in the program, how to rationally treat it. So this paper hassome certain practical significance in some extent.This article will use the literature analysis, quantitative analysis and case study method tocarry on the research analysis on the "love you love the beautiful" program. Through thoseanalyses, we found the roles’ mission of character narratives in the program is different,different narrative patterns have different narrative purposes. And we also found theconsumption concept transferred in the program, the essence to promote their products hidebehind the program. At last, we analyzed the value of the program, and give it some suggestionsfor improvement.
