In the21st century, there has been an explosive information growth, which marksmankind has entered the information age. The Internet, as the largest media in thedissemination of information, is closely related to our lives. Each renovation of theInternet technology has brought great changes into people’s way of life. With thecontinuous expansion of the network, the topological structure of network is becomingmore and more complex, then a clear cognition upon the structure of the network fornetwork planning becomes more and more important. When faced with a large numberof network topology data, the problem that need to be solved is how to get an accuratecognition from the dataset. As a tool to help people to analyze data, visualization playsa more and more important role. However, in most conditions, the visualization ishelpless when it faces more than thousands of nodes. This paper focuses on the studyand fulfillment of large-scale network visualization.First of all, the current research of network topology visualization and someachievements are introduced. Secondly, the basic knowledge of graph theory andimportant elements in information visualization are explained, so can we achieve antheoretical basis for analyzing H3visualization algorithm. Thirdly, a detailed analysisof the H3visualization algorithm and a study of its mathematic theory in hyperbolicspace are made. Fourthly, based on the character of the network and the property of thetopological data, we introduce the H3visualization algorithm into network topologyvisualization and complete the program code with the Microsoft MFC framework. Weend with a summary of the paper and a look forward to the next step of our work.
