The Design And Implementation Of Cargo Business Management System For Shandong Airlines

Nowadays, with the rapid social economic development, the logistics industry is also rapidly developing accompanied by the east wind of economic prosperity. As an important part of the logistics industry, air transport industry is in the ascendant with accelerated progressive development. But a variety of real problems come along with the development. Due to the sharp increase in the freight business, cargo quantity is explosively growing, thus the management of air cargo booking, document-making flight and inbound and outbound cargo is increasingly complex, almost becoming a main cause of inefficiency and fallibility of airlines freight. Shandong Airlines focus on the current problems encountered in the development, and determines to create an airfreight management system which is suitable for their own conditions, hoping to achieve the integration of resources, improving efficiency, reducing the error rate, and making the airfreight business to the next level.The airfreight management system for Shandong Airlines is mainly developed with the Java language. The system will be designed by using Struts, Hibernate and Spring as technical architecture. The system assigns MySQL database system as its database, the overall technical design of the system uses the MVC architecture conforming to the modern system development technology. In support of the above techniques, the system will achieve many functions.The system will mainly achieve three functions, online booking management, document-making flight management and inbound and outbound management. There are sixteen sub-functions for the three functions, including flight space inquiry, booking records inquiry, waybill booking operation, international formal document-making, international official document-making, airway bill inquiry management, daily flight management, ULD loading, flight loading, FFM bulk outbound operation, inbound cargo operation, delivery processing, delivery notification, transfer port processing of customs cargo, abnormal cargo management and non-normal maintenance. All above functions are obtained from the analysis of user needs.By building airfreight management system for Shandong Airlines and putting the system into use, Shandong Airlines will implement the informatization of freight management, booking management, air document-making flight management. The system will greatly improve the efficiency and accuracy of airfreight, reduce errors, and provide the impetus for further development of the airfreight business.
