With the constant progress of science and technology, all kinds of advancedcommunication technologies have been developed and applied into the field of elevator, whichmakes the elevator more and more widely used, so that monitoring and analyzing the runningstatus of elevator gradually become an important means to maintain the elevator. Due to thespecial nature of elevator, the simulation tool is relatively poor in its research, leading to the datacan’t be displayed intuitively and increasing the difficulty of solving the problem. In this paper,by means of network communication, the elevator simulation software which integrates functionsof remote monitoring and simulation has been designed to overcome this problem.This paper mainly introduces the development of Internet-based parameter-set andremote-monitoring software. This product is developed by Visual Studio. In the design of elevatorsimulation software for network communication, sockets programming technology is adopted toimprove the data interaction. It is suitable for remote elevator monitoring and uses a modulardesign technique for implementing of function to promote universality of the software. Accordingto the related parameters of elevator running involves, paper designs the communication module,main form displaying module, elevator calling module, parameters setting module, input/outputchecking module and fault statistics module to complete the function of monitoring andsimulation. Basically, it is a client/server mode communication software. Thus, this software isprogrammed based on Windows system. It connects with main elevator control software viaInternet. Thus, using this product, people can monitor the state of elevator on their own personalcomputer anywhere.In the end of this paper, software should be tested on the basis of communication protocolformulated in the research subject of intelligent elevator group control design and three layersteaching elevator module. The test results show that the software has a guiding significance in theelevator related field.
