With the diversification of broadcasting, satellite broadcasting technology enters into practical application stage. Satellite broadcasting has the characteristics of covering a larger area, little influence from the natural environment, large program capacity. But to achieve synchronization of broadcasting across different radio stations has always been technical problem and also hot problem be studied. With the support of some project, this paper designs a digital satellite receiver. It is used to receive the signal of satellite broadcast, then decodes the signal for simultaneous broadcasting, and finally achieves the synchronous broadcasting.In this system, the main controller is FPGA. This project designs the receiving circuit, FPGA core board circuitry, audio decoder circuit of audio signal and so on. This paper completes the receiving of digital satellite signal via the integrated tuner and demodulator which is configured by FPGA, then the integrated tuner and demodulator outputs MPEG-2standard TS signal. By using FPGA, it designs TS demultiplexer module for receiving synchronization of TS signal and decoding TS stream from the systematical layer, which means it extracts the audio PES signal of one program from some TS signal, remembering the audio PES signal in the SDRAM and displaying related information of the audio PES signal on the LCD, then with the controlling of GPS instant pulse, it sends the audio PES signal to the audio decoder. FPGA drives the audio decoder and the DAC to simutaneously decoding the audio PES signal to obtain the synchronized audio signal and send to simulcast transmitter for synchronization broadcasting. Finally the paper summarizes the operation result of the system and puts forward some deficiencies that need to be improved.
