With the development of the computer network information technology and theformation of the global information networks and market, CNC equipment market’scompetition is becoming increasingly fierce. The progress of technology and diversificationof demand gradually shorten the product’s life cycle, companies have begun to face pressureto improve product quality and improved after-sales service, including product salesmaintenance and fault diagnosis, but the quality and price of the product are almost close tothe limit, its space of change is few, it is necessary to increase investment in the servicetechnology. In order to meet the numerical control equipments’ after-sales maintenance andfault diagnosis, we research the remote monitoring of CNC equipment in the topic. Theobject we study in our topic is the open CNC equipment, the purpose is to reduce the costsof open CNC equipments’ after-sales maintenance and fault diagnosis, at the same timereduce downtime, so the topic create economic benefits for producers and consumers ofCNC equipment.Through the comparison of traditional numerical control system and open numericalcontrol system, when we found the advantages of open CNC system, we study remotemonitoring software using WinSock technology combining the advantages of open CNCsystem.We analyse the research status of the development of domestic and international openCNC system and remote monitoring technology, and we understand the current situation andthe advantages of open CNC system, we research the remote monitoring system of openCNC equipment’s status combining open CNC system’s advantages of openness,networking, software compatibility, etc.After the study of open CNC systems and system of remote monitoring, we raise thefunctional and performance requirements of the remote monitoring system. We use theInternet for data transmission in Remote monitoring system, it is necessary to understand thebasic network protocol and network structure of the Internet. After we have known thefunctional and performance requirements of the system, we campare the network protocoland structure of the different programs. According to the advantages and disadvantages of the various options, finally we selected TCP/IP protocol and the C/S structure for this topicrequires.The study of the subject must understand the application of this system CNC equipmentand CNC systems. Our experimental platform’s hardware structure is PC+motion controller,based on the PCI bus and Windows platforms. Numerical control system is open CNC punchdedicated system based on the Windows XP platform, using Microsoft Visual C++6.0as aresearch tool, it can represent the common open CNC system.After the completion of the all prepare work, we start research and develop the systemuse of the Microsoft Visual C++6.0software’s WinSock technology,so the system cansupport the underlying foundation of network communications services, and combine withthe operating system’s network communications well. With the experiments on the actualnumerical control system, and improvements of software, we complete development workof the software, and make specific function of the subject come true.
