With the development of computer and network technology, remote monitor and control technology combines with network closely. Furthermore Ethernet obtains more and more applications in remote monitor and control field. The hierarchical model of network remote monitor and control system is studied. Infranet technology and the integration of the Infranet and Internet/Intranet are analyzed and studied in details. A remote monitor resolution is proposed based on B/S and C/S in this paper.Data transfer technology of pumping station remote monitor and control system is studied in addition. For example, data transfer technology based on iFIX database Socket communication technology based on TCP/IP protocol> serial communication technology and OPC technology etc.This paper, which is based on pumping station automation project of irrigation area, introduces how to build a remote monitor and control system. According to system requirements analysis, the paper design system particularly and give resolving schemes of system fault tolerance and security. On Implementation of the system, communication programs ofcomputer protection and ammeter is given in details. At last, Dynamic Programming is studied, and collocation of power package is arranged according to some factors including water needing volume of pumping station, equipment running status and equipment running efficiency etc.The system achieves remote monitor and control for pump station and improves the automation level of supervisory.
