Tianjin Land Resources and House Vocational College is one of the larger colleges in Tianjin. In recent years the college expand the scale, and graduation design become an important point of teaching quality. But the mode in the graduation design was that college announced the topic chosen by the student. The way has low transparency, low efficiency problem. The teachers and students complain to the process. With the graduates increase in recent, the disadvantages is more and more obvious. To improve college graduation design topic management efficiency, improve the quality of graduation design, we decide to build a college graduation design management system.The team decided to develop the MIS by ASP.Net, according to the requirements of the school. The main part of the system covered with teacher and student management, project and process management, also included the data report statistical output, the initial data import, stage management, etc. The system’s architecture is B/S and three layer architecture which conformed to the software and hardware of the college. It was divided user layer, business logic layer, data layer, which is convenient for system development, improved efficiency about the development and the maintenance.This project used UML, ER diagram and other tools for system analysis, designed the use case, sequence diagram according to the requirements, which made analysis clear and accurate. It designed function hierarchical graph, data table and part of the module of the program flow based on the system analysis, adopted top-down and stepwise refinement strategy in the design, which made development orderly. The project had adopted series of Microsoft technology, such as ASP.Net, SQL Server, Windows operating system, IIS. It attached great importance to the test of system, and overall tested the function and performance of the system and timely corrected defects according to the test results to ensure the quality of the system.After one time trial, the results showed that the work flow could meet the requirements of college, optimize the process about students selected topic and academic management and improve the selection efficiency. The system standardized the process in graduation design and resolved the problems that the processes were complex, data management in disarray. This system reached the aim of project design.
