The priority issue in Smart home is the character of stable, andthe small size PLC is more stable and practical than single-chip microcomputerand ARM. GSM network has realized the networking and roaming across thecountry. It has a strong capacity of the network and the extensive coverage, etc.There is no limit on the number of users in GSM network, the using consumptionof GSM network is relatively low, and it has text data transmission function of the message. SMS becomes the first selection of the PLC control system in smarthome for these reasons above. In this paper, the PLC and GSM module areconnected with each other through the serial port, it will send remote alarmmessages to the user when there are dangerous situations in the house.The design idea of this subject is that combined home automation, homesecurity, household environment monitoring, and home security alarm togetheron a comprehensive management system. The design can improve the safety,convenience, comfort of household environment in the condition of stable,reliable, energy saving and low cost. The system has good scalability andadaptability to the environment, and the functions of the system can be tailored,added or transplanted according to the actual needs of users.
