With the development of our living standard, the video images which have fixed size andsingle picture are not able to meet the people’s visual requirement. The displaying of thevideo pictures with ultra high-definition, super-resolution, and the fusion of multi channelvideo signal is becoming the hot-spot in video research region. It will increase the operationtime of CPU if only applying software algorithm to implement such functions. So this articledesigns a program that can achieve the functions based on the hardware platform.This paper apply FPGA as the core processor to achieve the real-time processing of thesignals and the logical functions of the system. The main content of this program is to resizethe images by hardware and transfer data between FPGA and the external storage devices.Firstly, accomplish the simulation of the image resizing algorithm in the MATLAB platform,and then implement the interpolation algorithm by hardware description language after testing.the required system quality of the images. This program exploits flexible modularity method,achieves the modularization functions with Verilog HDL language in the ISE platform ofXILINX company. Finally, test the logical accuracy of the system by simulation of Isim, andreach the requirements of the system by placement and routing, simulating, restraining timesequence, and debugging the hardware. Input video image supports a maximum resolution of1920×1080, output supports four LCD or LED, and each screen has the maximum displayresolution of1920×1080. This article provide a hardware basis to the design about video wall,video fusion, fusing and long-distance transmission, and have a certain reference value inother similar designs.
