According to the investigation we know the xi ’an people highly evaluate the region dialect, they are very confident with their dialect ability. They also support the dialect radio showTo a certain extent, different social characteristics (such as age, gender, education, etc) lead to the differences in each project of language attitude. From the cognitive psychology of the audience, personal identity, regional pride and identity of indigenous culture and so on, affect people’s language attitude and behavior orientation;Xi ’an dialect radio has a long way to go. In order to protect and respect the diversity of regional culture in our country, we need to make dialect radio programs develop fast and greatly and give it more promotion spaces. So Xi ’an dialect radio needs the support of national policy, the positive media propaganda and the efforts of society and individuals. In this way, the dialect radio can inherit and develop the local history and culture better. We have optimistic prospect on Xi ’an dialect area development. Although most people can clearly recognize that mandarin brings social status and economic value, but in the survey we found that most of the xi ’an people are willing to speak dialect when they use mandarin, also they want to teach their children to learn dialect. So without violating mandarin as a mainstream language environment, we should work together to inherit the dialect culture.
