In recent years, it has high academic value and extensive application prospect to digthe abundant characteristic information from medical images using artificial intelligenceand computer graphics technology. This method could assist doctors to performanceclinical diagnosis of medical image. On the one hand, more information can be obtainedthrough imaging technology; on the other hand, owing to the increase of the amount ofinformation supplied by medical image software, clinical doctors have to spend vast timeand energy to collect the required information. With the contradiction becoming moreprominent, what face the computer engineering personnel is not only supplying clinicaldoctors with more complex information, but also applicative information timely and in theproper ways. Adaptive display technology based on DICOM medical image which wasresearched of this article realizes the recorded and intelligent implementation of historicalfilm reading model for different doctors. Combined with interactive genetic algorithm tostructure intelligent film reading model, the artificial intelligence can be applied to doctors’film reading work. It overcomes the “side-effects” brought about by strong functions ofmodern image diagnostic support software, such as the diversity of medical equipmentsand examining style, the diversity of image display way and the complex interactivemethod between doctors who read films and the image station. The combination andapplication on the medical image visualization, which combine the genetic algorithm andhanging protocols, supply doctors with ways of personalized film reading in a large extent,simplify the operating steps and improve the work efficiency. So it has significance todigitized diagnosis.In allusion to the adaptive display of DICOM medical image, the paper conducts aseries of study from three aspects: theory, algorithm and application. The studies mainlyinclude contents as follows:1. The display technology relating to DICOM medical image; 2. The relevant study of technology on hanging protocols in the DICOM standard;3. The application of interactive genetic algorithm on the display based on DICOMmedical image;4. The adaptive display system based on DICOM medical image is developed on thebasis of information above and the validity and availability of the paper thought are proved.At present, the adaptive software technology in domestic is at the beginning ofdevelopment. The study of adaptive display technology on medical image software is just aprospective begin and there has a long way to apply it to practical clinical application.Therefore, it has important and realistic significance to study and explore the adaptivedisplay method which is fit to DICOM medical image.
