In recent years, due to the rapid development of medical imaging, more and more types of imaging methods spring up, which makes the imaging methods and display methods various. These technologies and methods both have their own strengths, but so far there is no perfect means of imaging and image display to meet all patients or all checks disease. Doctors need to diagnosis different images which are produced by medical imaging platforms, then through a variety of comprehensive sets of image contrast and can make a diagnosis of the patient. In order to meet the various needs of medical diagnosis, medical imaging software is more powerful now, but during the period of making a report, doctors have to spend lots of time in the software operation instead of reading on images. That's an urgent problem to make doctors use medical diagnostic software easily and make the diagnosis from it conveniently. In order to solve interact with the imaging workstation complexity and make better accurate diagnostic information about mining, DICOM 3.0 version 2006 of the hanging protocols formally established a common standard.DICOM hanging protocol is mainly to solve the problem of interaction complexity between radiologist and imaging workstation. It aims at that users can configure the appreciate image display way based on their reading habits. Different demands correspond to different display rules. Then according to the preparatory rules it can arrange images automatically based on user's habit. A series of smart and flexible hanging protocols allow users to realize soft reading faster and more efficiently and to simplify the operation in degree.In this paper, we parse the hanging protocols and develop software about medical image display combined with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, DCMTK toolkit and VTK. This software carries out how to produce, store and query hanging protocols and controls how to display images in the light of hanging protocols. The advantage of our system is that it can define the reading rules by doctors, thereby realizing the automatic layout of images. Thus, the software greatly simplifies the steps of a doctor's operation, and improves the efficiency in mining medical diagnostic information. So this study has an important significance to diagnosis digitization.
