As a kind of plastic processing mechanical equipment, injection molding machine isplaying a more and more important role in national economy. At present, the injectionmolding machines used for manufacturing are mostly hydraulic and electro-hydraulic inour country, leading to the problems such as high energy consumption, low-levelefficiency, serious pollution and so on. All electric injection molding machine is becomingthe mainstream in the development of plastic processing mechanical equipment with theadvantages of high efficiency, pro-environment, low energy consumption, etc.High-accuracy and high-efficiency are the advantages of all electric injectionmolding machine, they are also the technical difficulties. The technological developmentof open CNC system and soft PLC makes CNC system modularized, standardized,secondary-development supported, platform independent, networking, etc, providing anew opportunity for the internal manufacturers to develop the all electric injectionmolding machine which is economical and practical as soon as possible.This paper is based on the open CNC platform named HNC-8developed byHuazhong CNC company, designs and develops an all electric injection molding machinecontrol system according to injection molding process. The functional hardware modulesare connected with each other by NCUC-BUS fiber optic bus, forming a topologicalstructure, this kind of hardware structure has a high stability and reliability. The softwareadopts modularizing design method, mainly including logical control module and processcontrol module. The logical control module is realized by HNC-8soft PLC programming.The process control module is realized by calling HNC-8open API based on statemachine theory, mainly including injection module, measure module, clamping module,ejecting module, etc, and the control of key process, such as injection and measure, isdiscussed in detail. Some related auxiliary modules are also designed and developed todeal with the all electric injection molding machine control more effectively, mainlyincluding HMI module, data management module and operation monitoring module. Atlast, an all electric injection molding machine from ZhenXiong company is equipped withthe control system of this paper, the machine performance test has proved the practicability and superiority of the technology and method researched in this paper.This paper applies open CNC technology to the design and implement of all electricinjection molding machine control system, which breaks down the technologicalmonopoly of external all electric injection molding machine companies and provides sometechnology accumulation and valuable experience for developing all electric injectionmolding machines with proprietary brands.
