With the popularization of various mobile terminals, wireless network got fast development in recent years. However, the low network bandwidth capacity and the limitation of AP coverage area hinder the development and application of wireless network. Wireless MESH Network, as a distributed wireless networks with high capacity and speed, can not only improve the performance of wireless network, but improve the wireless network coverage and management efficiency of network maintenance.In Wireless MESH Networks, channel interference reduction has important influence on improving the network throughput. In order to minimize channel interference and achieve overall load balance, a novel hybrid channel allocation algorithm PSHCA(Priority Strategy Based Hybrid Channel Allocation Algorithm) is proposed, which can effectively solve the above problems. Specific content as follows:First of all, based on the analysis of Wireless MESH Network architecture and the research of common channel allocation algorithm for Wireless MESH Network MAC protocol, each merits and demerits are summarized. Aiming at the poor adaptability for network environment and inextricability for conflict avoidance, a novel hybrid channel allocation algorithm PSHCA is proposed. The novel algorithm layers each node in the path, sets parameters to prioritize requirements of each node and conducts channel allocation according to the priority. Besides, the real time monitoring and adjusting of channel load would be running during the process.Secondly, the OPNET simulation platform is adopted to design the PSHCA channel allocation simulation system, and then compare the network performance between traditional channel allocation algorithm for Wireless MESH Network and PSHCA. The simulation experiment results show that, relative to traditional channel allocation algorithm for Wireless MESH Network, PSHAC can not only effectively balance channel load, but achieve less time for allocating channel access mode and larger throughput.Finally, based on the analysis of the performance of PSHCA channel allocation algorithm, use the analytic hierarchy process to establish the comprehensive evaluation index system of PSHCA-MESH, and then calculate its weight. Although the number of nodes is increasing and interference factor is changing, it can provide different response options and strategies, and then improve the transmission performance of Wireless MESH Network.
