With the development of integrated circuit technology, manufacturing processescontinue to improve, based on Chip System (System on a Chip) electronic Systembecome the development direction of the embedded System and the mainstream. PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) bus with its high performance, low cost, open,independent of the processor,transparent software, and many other advantages becomethe most popular computer local bus。Nowadays, most of the embedded processors do not support PCI bus transmission,and independent domestic development with independent intellectual property rights ofPCI nuclear is still relatively less. In this thesis, based on deep research of the PCIprotocol using Verilog HDL design a PCI nuclear, through the TMS320C6713DSP(Digital Signal Processing) EMIF (External Memory Interface), integrated to C6713TMS320DSP as the core of SoC system internal. Through the external memoryinterface (EMIF) to extend the functionality of existing SoC circuit market, can makefull use of existing resources and reduce the development cycle,save the cost ofdevelopment.In addition, this thesis also build a test environment,has extended function C6713TMS320as the PCI host are verified. In the simulation environment, completed thefunctional verification of EMIF to PCI host controller. It is a very meaningful exploreto combine our own IP with other commercial standardized IPs.
