Currently, in the medical system, intravenous infusion works effectively, and accounts for the majority of proportion in the treatment. According to statistics, appropriately70%-80%of patients receive treatment and are transported nutrients to their own bodies through intravenous infusion. However, with the passing time, the drawbacks of traditional intravenous infusion are increasingly apparent. In traditional intravenous infusion process, medical workers are asked to treat patients closely and to manipulate the infusion device. They must master the process and details. But for those who just start to participate in the work and are not very rich in practical experience, it is undoubtedly a problem. Due to the external influences or the patients’conditions such as flowing blood, the drip rate adjustment not only is difficult to master for the fresh workers, but also makes some skilled workers confused. In the long infusion process, the patients are basically sleeping all the time, especially those who are in a coma, so someone is needed to accompany with them, and must keep in mind during infusion drip rate, the remaining amount of fluid as well as the status of the patient. Once the caregivers are away for a little while or some cases happen, such as nap, an accident may happen; even blood will flow backward, which is very dangerous. In addition, for those patients suffering from an infectious disease, although there are quarantine and disinfection measures, it is inevitable that too much contacting with them leads to a contagious accident. In response to the questions about intravenous infusion, a medical infusion system is designed, which can help medical workers monitor patients remotely. The main function of the system is available for remote monitoring during the infusion, including the drip rate and the remaining amount of fluid. When the drip rate changes, the system will automatically detect and adjust it to the preset rate. While the infusion will be completed and the remaining amount of fluid is not enough, the alarm signal is sent to monitoring center to give the medical workers a warning; In the system, the data can be set not only in the sickroom, but also by the medical staffs in the monitoring center in the method of computer. The two can work well. Furthermore, in order to manage more easily, a patient information manage system is also established in the monitoring center, including patients’information, medical history, etc., and their names will be displayed by their own beds. Ultimately, wireless transmission is used between monitoring center and the lower machine, which can reduce the trouble of wiring of the field area and reduce installation and maintenance costs. In the design, microcontroller called MSP430F169, which is produced by TI in the USA, is chosen. The CC2530chip based on Zigbee protocol is to achieve the information transmission between the lower machine and the monitoring center. Moreover, a visual interface is designed through Microsoft Visual Studio2010integrated development platform to manage the entire system remotely.
