With the rapid development of the smartphone industry in recent years, the penetration rate of smartphone in household consumers is rising. Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android-based smartphone dominated the market. Instant messaging service, which is widely used in traditional internet market, also went into the mobile internet market. It combined with the characteristics of the mobile internet and become the kernel business of process. This paper describes the design and implementation of a mobile social networking platform product. This product which combines the capacity of the mobile internet and communication network and treat unified communication based instant messaging as kernel service, build a mobile social networking platform for consumers.This paper firstly analyses the functional requirements of the mobile client, and design the overall architecture of the mobile client, and described the function of each module. The paper also analyses two common business scenarios used by the client in detail, and design the main modules of the client.For the login scenario of instant messaging, the paper proposes a way to complete the login request with location server and connection server structure. The paper also analyses the influencing factors and characteristics of connection server’s load balance problem. In order to solve the bigger clusters’load balance variance problem, the paper proposes a dynamic proportion based random selection algorithm. Through comparative experiment, algorithm’s validity has been proven.Finally, the paper gives a detailed introduction the China Telecom’s yiliao iPhone client, it also introduce project’s testing and integration information.
