With the developing of educational informationization, the model of instruction became more diversity and the teachers’ professional development face with more requirements. Online Community of Practice as a new learning way gradually be popular. This thesis propose a kind of Online Community of Practice for preschool teacher and carry on the applied research.This thesis based on the preschool teachers’actual needs, after some relative research, interview, combine the theory about Practice knowledge of preschool teacher with the advantage of Sakai and Community of Practice’s basic elements, design the structure chart of Online Community of Practice, Customize and extend the Sakai’s platform-tools, build the preschool teacher online community of practice base on Sakai. During the research, pick up some preschool teacher as object of study, using quasi-experimental research and interviews to verify the learning outcome of the community of practice.This research show that Sakai can support the community of practice well, create favorable learning and communication environment. The community of practice can stimulate the learners’ participation enthusiasm on a certain extent, promote the practical knowledge, it’s helpful for their learning ideas and way changing.
