Background:Vomiting is common chemotherapy side effects, the incidence is pproximately70%-80%.Delayed vomiting develops in patients more than24hours after chemotherapy administration, the incidence is about40%-50%.It can lead to chemotherapy in patients with psychological sense of fear, thus affecting the therapeutic effect of chemotherapy, reducing treatment compliance, even delaying treatment. Therefore, prevention of vomiting related to cancer chemotherapy is very important, which can improve the quality of life for patients and improve treatment compliance.5-HT3receptor antagonist is the main drug used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy.Despite its efficacy, there are some deficiencies such as loss of appetite, abdominal discomfort and constipation.Pre-clinical studies have shown that Jiawei Banxiaxiexin Tang has significant effect on chemotherapy-induced vomiting. On the basis of pre-clinical tests, the research took patients with mixed cold and heat as research subjects and we observed the clinical efficacy of Jiawei Banxiaxiexin Tang to provide clinical evidence for Chinese medicine in the treatment of delayed chemotherapy-induced vomiting.Object:The object of this clinical trial is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Jiawei Banxiaxiexin Tang for the treatment of patients with delayed chemotherapy-induced vomiting. Methods:By pragmatic randomized controlled study, we observed45patients with delayed chemotherapy-induced vomiting,of which22cases in the control group and23cases in the treatment group.Intravenous tropisetron hydrochloride5mg was the basic treatment. In the control group, patients were treated with metoclopramide injection lOmg and dexamethasone injection5mg once a day for5days.In the treatment group, patients were treated with Jiawei Banxiaxiexin Tang once a day for5days.Two groups of patients were respectively observed on the first day and the six day of treatment and they were requested to fill vomiting grading scale and TCM symptom score scale.Through statistical analysis of the results,we observed improvement in the patients with vomiting and focused on the clinical efficacy of Jiawei Banxiaxiexin Tang on delayed chemotherapy-induced vomiting.Using Spss17statistical software for statistical analysis. Count data use chi-square test, Measurement data before and after the treatment use Paired t test when it meets the normal distribution and Non-parametric test when it does not meet the normal distribution. Measurement data between the two groups use ANOVA when it meets the normal distribution and Non-parametric tests when it does not meet the normal distribution. All are made of two-sided test of hypothesis testing,P values less than0.05will be considered a statistical difference of the test, P values less than0.01will be considered a significant statistical difference of the test. Results:After treatment in terms of the degree of vomiting, the total effective rate was82.61%in the treatment group, while the control group was81.82%,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).In terms of the efficacy of TCM symptoms, the total effective rate was82.61%in the treatment group, while the control group was45.45%, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01).The treatment group and the control group were compared on aspects of nausea and vomiting, epigastric fullness, poor appetite, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while on aspects of poor stool, bitter taste and dry mouth, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:Jiawei Banxiaxiexin Tang can reduce the clinical symptoms in patients with delayed chemotherapy-induced vomiting to some extent and improve the quality of life of them.
