Clinical Observation Of Rosemary Compound Essential Oil Intervention On Post-strokeanxiety Combined With Depression

ObjectiveThe study adopted rosemary compound essential oil suction olfactory to treat patientswith PSCAD. HAMA and HAMD scores were measured to observe the improvementof patients with depression and anxiety symptoms before and after treatment.Primarilyto study the clinical application value of rosemary compound essential oil treated ondepression and anxiety.Methods1.60patients were selected by the evidence-based medicine who were diagnoseddefinitely in the first affiliated hospital of anhui medical university from February2012to May2013. The random number table method was adopted to divide into treatmentgroup and control group and each group had30cases. Gender, educational level, age,course,the parts and nature of stroke and HAMD, HAMA scores between two groupshad no significant difference(P>0.05).2. Therapeutic method:Both groups were given conventional stroke rehabilitation.(1)Treatment group:0.4ml rosemary compound essential oil was diluted with20mlnormal temperature water and put in nebulizing diffuser tray. The tray were put in50cmx40cm x30cm airtight plastic case and heated by the light. Nasal cathete was used toinhale nostril.The inhalation time was30min, quaque nocte and the treatment time was8W. (2)Control group: Sertraline was taken orally, quaque nocte, each time was50mg andthe treatment time was8W.3. Curative effect evaluation: HAMD and HAMA were used to evaluate the degree ofdepression and anxiety in patients before and after2weeks,4weeks,6weeks and8weeks treatment by the same two trained rehabilitation physicians. Two groups ofpatients were examined blood routine, urine routine, liver and kidney function andelectrocardiogram, meanwhile recording scores and adverse reactions in the process oftreatment. Meanwhile the adverse reaction was recorded.Result1.HAMD score comparison results of two groups of patients: HAMD score differencebefore and after2W,4W,6W and8W treatment had statistical significance betweentreatment group and control group（F=623.66，P=0.000）, but there was no statisticalsignificance between two groups（P>0.05）; HAMD score before the treatment and after8W had statistical significance（P<0．01），downward trend in two groups and promptedthat HAMD score between two groups was consistent.2. HAMA score comparison results of two groups of patients: HAMA score differencebefore and after2W,4W,6W and8W treatment had statistical significance betweentreatment group and control group（F=549.68，P=0.000）, but there was no statisticalsignificance between two groups（P>0.05）; HAMA score before the treatment and after8W had statistical significance（P<0．01），downward trend in two groups and promptedthat HAMD score between two groups was consistent.3. Adverse reactions: Both treatment group and control group had no adverse reaction after treatment of8W. The blood routine, urine routine, liver and kidney function andelectrocardiogram examination showed no abnormalities.Conclusion1.The clinical effects of rosemary compound essential oil suction olfactory treatment inPSCAD is exact, it can significantly improve the symptoms of depression andanxiety.2.The clinical effects of rosemary compound essential oil treatment ofdepression and anxiety symptoms correspond to sertraline.3.Rosemary compoundessential oil has no obvious adverse reactions.
