Objective: To study the clinical significance of monitoring capacity inpatients undergoing PKRP by using PiCCO, so as to improve the safety ofpatients in the perioperative, the purpose of promoting the successfulrehabilitation of patients. Methods:Twenty patients(ASAI-II) of Benign prostatic hyperplasia forundergoing transurethral plasmakinetic resection of the prostate wereenrolled. By PiCCO (pulse-indicated continuous cardiac output), CI (cardiacindex),GEDI (global end diastolic volume index),ITBI (intrathoracic bloodvolume index), EWLI(extravascular lung water index) were monitoredbefore operation(T0),5minutes after anesthesia induction(T1),after irrigatingfluid of5000ml(T2) and10000ml(T3) and15000ml(T4) and20000ml(T5).Through multifunction monitor, HR(heart rate), MAP(meanarterial blood pressure), SPO2(pulse oxygen saturation), CVP (central venouspressure),BIS(bispctral index) were monitored. Results:Compared with before operation, CI,GEDI,ITBI after anesthesiainduction were significantly decreased (P <0.05), Followed by a gradualrecovery. During operation, when the volume of irrigating fluid is below20000ml,CI,GEDI,ITBI at T3,T4,T5were not significantly changedcompared with that at T2(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1) CI、GEDI、ITBI of PiCCO are sensitive and accurate means ofmonitoring hemodynamic changes and a very good guide to assess the capacity of patients during PKRP.(2) Hemodynamics is little effected whenthe volume of0.9%saline using as irrigating fluid is below20000mlduring PKRP.
