Doctor-Patient’s SEMG Study On Treating Lumbar Disc Herniation With Caiqiao ManiPulation

Objective:The surface electromyography technology(sEMG) is first used in the experimental study of treating lumbar disc herniation with Caiqiao manipulation.The interdisciplinary ideas of applied sport anatomy,biomechanics,and massage is used to describe and record the electrophysiological activity of the muscles during the process.It is used to provide a theoretical basis and guidance for massage docter through investigating the effort change and movement rhythm of Caiqiao manipulation,and open a new path of manipulation research through dynamic testing the body electrical signal of the performers and subjects.Methods:Select professor and skilled graduate student as performers, two lumbar disc herniation patients as subjects,using surface EMG to dynamicly monitor the whole manipulation process,Methods are as follows:the sEMG signal was recorded simultaneously from the left rectus femoris,gluteus medius,biceps femoris,semitendinosus and semimembranosus,tibialis anterior muscle,medial gastrocnemius,ankle extensor muscles,soleus of the performers and the left multifidus muscle,erector spinae of subjects.analysising the muscles datas of machining area,percentage of participation.mean power frequency(MPF).Results:There is difference in machining area,percentage of participation of the different stages of each cycle between professor and Graduate(P<0.05);the sequence of exerting forces is diffrient between up and down;There is difference in machining area,percentage of participation,mean power frequency of subjuct(P<0.05).Conclusions:It is more coordination and durable,unfatigue from discharging neatly,regularly,synchronically and properly for professor’s manipulation.It is contrary on the graduate student.The discharging of subjuct is neat,regular,synchronical,long which expain the manipulation of professor is deep and thorough,soft,permanent,but the graduate student is opposite.
