Polygonatum is the dried rhizome from three species, Polygonatum kingianum Coll.et Hemsl.,Polygonatum sibiricum Red. or Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua. In the traditional is better which is block fatness, the color yellow and section a horny transparent. During storage because it contains large amounts of Polysaccharides make it easily moth-eaten, discoloration, mildew deterioration,etc. And thus affect the quality and efficacy of medicines. In the production and operation process only using simple light, sealed method for storage, and just choose sack or common plastics bag for packaging of this medicine. It is still lack of a systematic package and storage technology for it.Therefor, this paper will accord to its characteristics of "easy to moth-eaten, colo discoloration" in the storage. In order to select suitable packaging and storage technology for Polygonatum slice. The final choice three kinds of packaging materials (PE plastic film, leather condensate film and paper, PE plastic foil composite membrane), two kinds of packaging (vacuum-sealed, sealing) and three kinds of storage conditions (low temperature refrigeration2℃to10℃, cool and constant temperature20℃, room temperature0℃to30℃) storage. At the same time, for the first time the compatibility experiment of Polygonatum slice and packaging materials. The experimental contents and results are as follows:1In order to choose appropriate storage method for Polygonatum slice, study on the storage method of itAccording to the long-term storage stability test of preparation or raw materials of "Chinese medicine, natural medicine stability technology guidelines for research" All the indexes(change appearance characters, moisture, extract, the contents of components) were measured in0,3,6,12,18,24,30months. The experimental results are as follows:1.1Appearance characters detectionAccording to results, in order to prevent "infestation, discoloration" in the storage, Polygonatum slice have better be stored in low temperature and freezing conditions, and can vacuum if have condition. In addition, when the leather coagulation membrane bag storage in freezing conditions the pieces will be water phenomenon.This result suggest that the packaging materials packaging pieces are not suitable for storage in freezing conditions.1.2Moisture detectionMoisture content showed a gradually increasing trend in the process of packing storage for two years.There only one group over the provisions of the Pharmacopoeia which is packaging with leather condensate film and paper and stored in cryogenic conditions, while the other groups are in line with the pharmacopoeia. The moisture significantly increased may related the tightness of leather condensate film and paper is not very good, and also maybe have moisture absorption.This result suggest that the packaging mode is not suitable for the storage of Polygonatum slice.1.3Extract detectionThe extractive content is no obvious decrease.The overall, after storage two years each group is in the Pharmacopoeia range(not less than45.0%).1.4Content detectionAfter storage two years most groups(except7,11,12,14groups) of the polysaccharide content is reduced to below7%of pharmacopoeia. The blank group decreased maximum. The comparative analysis of different factors (packaging, storage temperature, packaging materials) effect on the polysaccharide content conditions.The result show the Polygonatum Polysaccharide Content:sealed packaging than vacuum packaging, cold storage, a cool temperature higher than room temperature, the aluminum foil/PE plastic composite membrane bag, polyethylene plastic bags more than leather coagulation membrane the paper bag.1.5Analysis of orthogonal testIn order to select the best packaging and storage technology for Polygonatum slice use of analysis of orthogonal experiment. The final choice of aluminum foil composite film is sealed packaging and storage in the cool temperature (20℃) conditions. This result has a guiding significance choice for suitable packaging materials and storage for which has rich polysaccharide composition and "easy to moth-eaten, colo discoloration" in the storage. And also provide a scientific reference for application of a small packaging.2In order to choose suitable materials for packaging Polygonatum slice, using compatibility test of slice and package materialThrough the GC-MS analysis of volatile composition of blank materials, blank packaging materials, package and storage of Polygonatum slice and package and storage o packaging materials. The results show that the volatile composition of packaging materials and slice well occur adsorption, migration phenomenon. The Polygonatum slice of aluminum foil/PE plastic bag after a minimum, prompting aluminum foil/PE composite plastic film bag is more suitable for yellow fine pieces of the package and storage. The aluminum foil/PE plastic bag with minimal changes. Results show that wrapped in aluminum foil/PE composite plastic film bag is more suitable for Polygonatum slice.Because of time and condition, this experiment only simple qualitative analysis.The quantitative analysis of packaging and chemical constituents of Polygonatum slice need in-depth in the future.
