Investigation On The Knowledge, Attitude And Practice (KAP) Of People With Occupational Disease Risk In Three Thermal Power Enterprises

[Objective] To know the implementation of revised Code of Occupational Disease Prevention of PRC Since its execution one year ago. questionnaire survey on knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) of Code of Occupational Disease Prevention of PRC was used in people with occupational disease risk in three thermal power enterprises,in order to provide basic data and idea of prevention and control to decrease and avoid the occupation disease and promote the health of workers.[Method]1002workers were selected using custer random sampling method to complete questionnaire idependently. The database was established by the Epidata3.1software and statistically analyzed by SPSS10.0mean standard deviation was used to describe measurement data,rate and constituent ratio were used to describe qualitative data. The data was analyzed with the logistic regression(enter) by SPSS statistical software.Differences were considered to be significant at a level of P<0.05.[Results] In all qusetionaires,938questionnaires were available,the response rate was93.6%. The correct rate of occupation health knowledge was64.7%, the correct rate of occupation health attitude was57.2%, the correct rate of occupation health related behavior was60.9%.There were statistical significance among the occupation health knowledge,attitude and related behavior of the employees with different education backgrounds (P<0.05). The correct rate of occupation health knowledge,attitude and related behavior of managers was higher than the rate of ordinary workers, and the difference was considered to be significant (P<0.05). There were no statistical significance among the occupation health knowledge of the employees with different ages(χ2=5.916, P>0.05),while there were statistical significance among the occupation health attitude and related behavior of the employees with different working years (P<0.05)[Conclusions] The knowledge rate of there three thermal power enterprises were64.7%,which don’t meet the standard requirements of above90%in the national health education and health promotion plan. The correct attitude awareness rate and rational behavior cognition rate were57.2%and60.9%respectively. There was a certain gap with the occupation health supervision and management requirements.Since the Code of Occupational Disease Prevention of PRC was revised, the knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) of workers were still not optimistic. The employer should be carry out occupation health knowledge training long-term and regularly,the training should be carry out hierarchical,and occupation health education and general health education should be combined. The employer should fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the crowd’s occupation, and work in coordination with the government, the employer and the occupation health service department to well done occupational health surveillance.
