Clinical Observation Of Acupuncture Therapy On Patients With Vascular Dementia After Stroke

Objective:This study to observe the clinical effect of acupuncture in the treatment of Vascular dementia,explore acupuncture effect against Vascular dementia,to provide the proof for acupuncture treatment of Vascular dementia,then to find out the valid and shorter way for the treatment of Vascular dementia,and to fit the need of further raising effect and decreasing side effect in the clinic.Methods:Collected82cases,who were diagnosed Vascular dementia in Wuxi Traditional Chinese medicine Hospital from October2011-December2012.According to random list,patients were randomly divided into treatment group of42cases,and the control group of40cases. Treatment group was treated by acupuncture head points with ragular treatment.The control group was treated by only regular treatment.Observe patients with Vascular dementia MMSE,HDS-R and SOD total score and the various factors points.Compare the clinical efficacy of two groups before and after treatment respectively.Results:1. After3courses of treatment,the treatment group has3invalid cases,39effective cases with the total effective rate of90.70%.The control group has19invalid cases,21effective cases with the total effective rate of52.5%.The treatment group and control group patients after treatment compared statistically significant effect (P<0.05),the effect of treatment group was better than control.2.After3courses of treatment,total scores of MMSE,HDS-R,SOD of the treatment group were more statistically significant after treatment (P<0.05).Conclusions:1.The clinical effect of acupuncture is significantly better than the control group,it could obviously raise patients’MMSE score,HDS-R score,and SOD level, quickly effect, also can reduce drug side effects.2.Acupunture therapy can not only improve the patients’ tearing and memory,cognitive ability,but also improve the affective of psychiatric symptoms as soon as possible.It significantly improve the life of patients,so that patients are full of confidence in the future.3.This study preliminary proved that the method which was on the basis of acupuncture for the treatment of Vascular dementia can significantly improve clinical symptoms.It is effective,safe and reliable,so can be popularized.
