| Objective: To investigate the relationship between the dynamic changes of tongueand prognostic indicators, the disease progression and outcome of HBV relatedacute-on-chronic liver failure patients with syndrome of stagnation of liver-qi and spleendeficiency, and to explore the clinical significance of tongue image as an index ofprognosis and therapeutic effect evaluation for acute-on-chronic liver failure patients withsyndrome of stagnation of liver-qi and spleen deficiency. Methods: A total of70HBV related acute-on-chronic liver failure patients withsyndrome of stagnation of liver-qi and spleen deficiency, enrolled in the study, weredivided into improved group and death group according to the final outcome, and the scoreof symptoms/signs,tongue picture and related biochemical indexes (TCH,PA,PTA,TBIL)on prognosis had been recorded during the period from admission to discharge or death. The above indexes were compared between improved group and death group, and thecorrelations between the tongue integral and the indicators which affect the prognosis ofHBV related acute-on-chronic liver failure patients with syndrome of stagnation of liver-qiand spleen deficiency were analyzed.Result: According to the comparisons drawn between improved group and deathgroup, there are significant difference in the score of symptoms/signs,tongue, and relatedbiochemical indexes (PTA, TCH, TBIL) on prognosis. Through analysis and research, it isfound that the score of tongue has negative linear correlation with PTA, TCH and positivelinear correlation with TBil and the score of symptoms/signs. Conclusion: The dynamic changes of tongue has obvious correlation withsymptoms/signs and laboratory indicators of HBV related acute-on-chronic liver failurepatients with syndrome of stagnation of liver-qi and spleen deficiency. The dynamicchanges of tongue is of geat meaning to observe disease progress and prospect prognosis ofacute-on-chronic liver failure patients. |
